We have experience accurately communicating scientific data and its implications using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). We are able to take your data and use GIS to translate it into accessible information that will clearly communicate your message.

• Environmental Health Consulting was contracted by The Department of Pediatrics, University of Chicago to use GIS to map the needs and resources of child abuse victims in the State of Illinois. These maps were presented to physicians and decision makers (including the Governor) in order to facilitate resource allocation.
• Environmental Health Consulting was contracted to review a spatially-based risk assessment software package that is currently available on the Internet. The software was reviewed for accuracy, ease of use, and potential adaptation for Region 5 use. The review helped to point out limitations and inadequacies of the program. These limitations are currently being addressed so that a better package can be made available to U.S. EPA risk assessors.
