Environmental Health Consulting, subcontracts for ICF Consulting to work on a contract for EPA’s Office of Children’s Health Protection (OCHP). EHC’s primary responsibility is to provide technical assistance to OCHP in the review of Toxicological Review and Summaries documents. Future tasks may include: providing scientific and risk assessments, regulatory and economic assessments, and environmental health indicators and data analysis. In addition, the project includes outreach support, strategic planning, and training. EHC may be tasked with facilitating and supporting meetings and conferences, assisting in Web site management, and participating in peer and literature reviews.
Environmental Health Consulting was hired to provide technical assistance to OCHP staff. Tasks include performing accurate and inclusive literature summaries, consideration of developmental/early-life data in the selection and calculation of quantitative risk values, use of modeling as it relates to children's concerns, and use of child-protective default values and/or uncertainty factors.
Dr. Pullen coordinated the formation of the Chicago Biomedical Consortium. This consortium includes world class scientists from Northwestern University , University of Chicago, and University of Illinois at Chicago. Tasks included all aspects of logistical support for the 2002 CBC Symposium held at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. Environmental Health Consulting effectively negotiated with three universities, each with distinct cultures, to facilitate the creation a proposal for a proteomics/informatics facility that is expected to be funded at the level of $50 million.
