Interactive Web Site and Database Development

Environmental Health Consulting is currently working on a project with U.S. EPA Region 5 to continue development and improvement of the Toxicity and Exposure Assessment for Children's Health (TEACH). We have been working on this project with Region 5 since 1999.

The purpose of TEACH is to summarize, compile, and organize information obtained from numerous resources into one online resource. TEACH is designed to support numerous efforts throughout the country that target the protection of children’s health.

TEACH currently focuses on information that pertains to 18 chemicals of concern. and the objective of the project is to provide an online, searchable database for all developmental studies in humans and animals for these 18 chemicals of concern.

This project also includes the goal of posting, for each chemical, summaries that highlight key information and toxicity values as they pertain to children.

The TEACH site can be found at: http://epa.gov/teach.
